This boy represents his name as when you see him in the field with others he stands out from a mile carrying perfect confirmation and a strong look about him. If you want to increase the density whilst retaining a low micron then this is the boy. He is super dense with a lovely nourishment in the fleece and very low guard hair levels whilst still coming in at 20.8 micron on this years fleece. He has deeply crimped bundles of fleece as seen in the photo. His father is the well known Cedar House Tijera Hugo which was imported directly from Peru at 10 years of age and was carrying a micron of 20.0 and an SD of 3.0. It is a rare privilege to have been able to secure this outstanding herd sire whom was a national champion from Peru. Hugo has proven to be a producer of “stay fine” lines, and his offspring are now making their mark in the production of low guard hair, fine fleeced animals with superior frames, excellent coverage and great uniformity across the body of fleece.
Standout was very reluctantly released from cedar house Australia however we have no doubt that he will go on to make a strong mark in the alpaca industry over here. His first cria have recently been born in New Zealand, the owners are speechless with the fleece style and density being exhibited so far . He attracted a lot of interest and stud work whilst transitting through NZ.
